Indirect Fired Industrial Heater Rentals
Flagro FVO-400 Indirect Fired Heater Rentals in Alberta, Canada
How do indirect fired heaters work?
Indirect fired heaters operate similarly to household gas fired furnaces, except in a smaller, portable package. Our Flagro FVO-400 heating units run a diesel fired burner that warms up a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger then warms the air passing over it separately from the burner, so no exhaust is mixed with the heated air output. The clean, breathable and dry air output is what makes indirect fired heaters preferable to direct fired heaters where the heated air is not safe for breathing.
With the use of a heating exchange, indirect fired heaters are more complex than their direct fired counterparts, which means more specialized maintenance is required. When renting with Rooks Industries, our equipment is all regularly maintained and serviced to eliminate equipment downtime and maintenance requirements for our clients.
Our indirect fired heaters require a power source to operate, which is why our rentals come with an optional generator for ease of use. The Flagro FVO-400 features a nozzle pre-heater function and a low temperature fuel pump for easy startup in the coldest winters Alberta has to offer.
*When operating heating units and generators in enclosed spaces always ensure adequate airflow to prevent carbon monoxide poisonings and equipment failure.

Features and Benefits
Note: The indirect fired heater uses a spark for ignition and a flamed diesel burner which makes it unsuitable for use around explosive and flammable gasses or on volatile worksites. For volatile worksites, check out our flameless heater rentals.
The heated air output is separate from the diesel burner for dry and breathable clean air. No risk of carbon monoxide poisonings with proper use.
The FVO-400 units feature a 42 gallon (160 liter) built-in fuel tank for diesel storage.
Welded 304 stainless steel heat exchanger is durable and efficient at transferring the heat from the burner.
Riello burner technology including nozzle pre-heater and low temperature fuel pump for cold weather start-up and operation.
Dual and single duct options for heating of one or more spaces at once.
Heavy duty steel lifting harness for picker transport.
Slim design minimizes footprint for ease of mobility and transportation
